Another exciting season of the Thommo One Masters presented by Emirates awaits club golfers nationwide this April. In actual fact, the first leg of the 12-leg golf circuit teed-off in February at Camden Lakeside Golf Club in Australia followed by another preliminary leg at Hirao Golf Club in Japan in March.
In its ninth season, Thommo One Masters presented by Emirates will once again offer superb golfing challenge at some of the country’s best golf courses.
Since 2004, Thommo has brought Australian and Japanese to Malaysia. This year,Thommo bring golfers from Vietnam. We will continue to expand into more Asia Pacific countries, as we would like to promote Malaysia as a golfing destination in this region in line with the government’s initiative of promoting the Visit Malaysia Year 2007 and the nation’s 50th Year of Independence.
Two representatives from each preliminary round, based on Modified System 36 Stableford format for 2 categories will participate in the Grand Final. As in years before, the grand prize awarded to the grand final champions is a golf holiday package to the “Home of Golf”, St. Andrews, Scotland.
THOMMO ONE MASTERS 2007 HIGHLIGHT
The Grand Final on 26 July 2007 at Staffield Country Resort was blessed with a cool and perfect weather. Both categories were won by Malaysian with the exception of Division I's third placing that was won by a Japanese, Mr. Kenji Ota. Division I's second placing went to En. Sikindar B Ibrahim. The champion was Mr. Lee Chin Hock with handicap 6 and 38 points. Division II's third placing was En. Salimi Ismail, second placing was En. Mohd Nazim B Keling, and champion went to En. Ahmad Azhar.
Other attractive prizes include a Skoda Octavia Car, two return Emirates air tickets to Jakarta, 4-In-One Fuji Xerox Printer, THULE roof box system, 42" ONE Plasma TV and Ogawa Massage Chair for hole-in-one prizes.
